For its sixth edition, the Swiss Tuning Show will change its name to become the Swiss Car Event!

It was 5 years ago in 2007 that the curious and intrigued came to the first Swiss Tuning Show and were delighted with what they found, affectionately referring to this new event as the STS. At its beginnings the event brought together some 800 vehicles. Today it offers an exhibition platform for nearly 1200 vehicles per edition. Which means that six year later, not less than a total of 90’000 participants had the chance to admire 4’500 modified cars in the Palexpo exhibition halls.

“Tuning” itself is changing, becoming more diversified, more refined and expanding to include more specialised branches. Today, beyond the traditional “Tuning,” the event will include more specific sectors such as Customised cars, Classic/historic vehicles, Supercars, American automobiles, VW air-cooled vehicles, motorcycles and even bicycles. The Kustom Village has become a must-visit place as well as the vast Tuning Clubs section. Therefore, you can now find nearly everything related to the world of the automobile in one great show.

In short, the “scene” has evolved and the STS has adapted to the changes. This explains why the name has been changed to better reflect the style, open-minded and all-inclusive spirit of the show :

We trust that you will well remember this new name and urge you to reserve now the dates of the next edition: June 2-3, 2012. As in the past, the event will take place in Halls 4, 5, and 6 at Palexpo in Geneva.

The first information regarding the 2012 Swiss Car Event will be on line by the end of this year. The site will then be regularly updated with the latest information and developments.
